St. Anastasia to Bless Animals Today for Feast of St. Francis
Douglaston church will also sell tickets for its Halloween party on Oct. 10.

Douglaston’s St. Anastasia Parish will bless local residents’ pets today and, later this month, host a Halloween party.
The church, located at 45-14 245th St., will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals today in the schoolyard at Divine Wisdom Academy.
The event is being held to honor the Feast of St. Francis, who was the patron saint of animals.

On Oct. 25, the church will host a Halloween family party from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Father Smith Hall.
The event will include a D.J. and refreshment booth.

Admission is $6 per person, but children under 2 years of age will get in free. There is limited space available for the party.
Tickets are on sale on Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. at Father Smith Hall.
