Summer Safety To Take Priority at Clinton Democratic Club Meeting
Members of the 111th and 109th Precinct and Queens District Attorney Richard Brown will speak at Wednesday's meeting.

The William J. Clinton Democratic Club will hold its June meeting on Wednesday evening, boasting a full agenda that includes singing school children and an opportunity for locals to meet Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Each month's meeting has its own theme, said Paul Vallone, the club's president, and June is no exception: This month organizers will focus on addressing local crime statistics, with Capt. Ronald Leyson of the 111th Precinct and others on hand to offer tips on how to keep safe during the summer months.
The meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the offices of Vallone & Vallone, LLP in Flushing, will kick off in its typical fashion, with a group of local children singing a small selection of songs.

Brown, who will be up for reelection in November, will be in attendance as one of the evening's guest speakers.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the meetings tends to be watching the faces of elected officials as the children take to the spotlight to sing, Vallone said.

"It's a very unique look," Vallone said. "They often look at the door and wonder if they're in the right place."
"I can't wait to see the DA's face when he sees kids singing to him," he added.
