BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A teacher in Bayside was arrested for allegedly attacking a student this week, according to the NYPD.
Colin McNally, 58, a PE teacher at coach at Bayside's Cardozo High School, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly slamming a 14-year-old student against the wall and floor, police said.
McNally appears to have grabbed the student by the shirt and thrown him against the wall before tossing him to the ground, a video reported by ABC7 shows. The student was not hurt in the incident, according to the outlet.

A Cardozo student told ABC7 that the coach has a "short temper" and had "exchanged a few words" with the student over something he was upset about before the attack.
ABC7 reported that McNally had been released as of Thursday, but a spokesperson for the Department of Education told Patch that he is not back in the school.
