Thief Snuck Into Queens Man's Bedroom And Stole $10K-Filled Safe: NYPD
A man living near Alley Pond Park awoke to find that a thief snuck into his bedroom in the dead of night and stole his safe, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A Queens man awoke last month to find that a thief snuck into his bedroom in the dead of the night and stole a safe containing over $10,000 worth of valuables, the NYPD announced.
On July 26, the 53-year-old man was asleep in his home near 226th Street and Union Turnpike when a thief snuck in through an unlocked front door about 3:20 a.m., police said.
Once inside, the thief crept into the bedroom and stole a small safe containing a firearm, MacBook, iPhone, smart watch, jewelry and credit cards, according to the NYPD.

The thief then ran off with the valuable-filled safe, containing about $10,499 worth of items, and hasn't been seen since, police said Tuesday — three weeks after the robbery.
Police released a surveillance photo of the person they say stole the thief and asked that anyone with information about the burglary contact the NYPD.
