Thief Takes Bayside Woman's Card On Pricey Shopping Spree: NYPD
A man cloned the woman's credit card and charged more than $1,300 to it at a Nordstrom department store near Columbus Square, police said.
BAY TERRACE, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a man who treated himself to a pricey shopping spree at a Nordstrom Men's Store using a Bayside woman's stolen credit card information.
The 44-year-old woman, who lives in Bay Terrace, learned someone put $1,322 on her credit card in the department store's menswear branch at 235 west 57th Street after she got a call about suspicious charges on May 7, police told Patch.
The woman still had the credit card in question on her when the charges were made, meaning someone likely stole her information and made a clone card, an NYPD spokesman said.
