This Week In Little Neck Gas Prices

When it comes to energy markets, instability seems to be the name of the game. Whether it's political instability in the Middle East or an uncertain global economy, it's anyone's guess when the slow march upward in gas prices will ever end.

For those commuting to work by auto, that means that some gas prices have already passed what some analysts call the "bellwether" $4 mark in terms of the cost of a gallon of regular gasoline.

As for the average price across the New York metro region, we haven't quite hit the $4 mark just yet. In the past week, prices nudged up about a cent from $3.988 last week to $3.999 this Monday, according to the American Automobile Association's Fuel Gauge Report.
