Councilman Mark Weprin, D-Oakland Gardens, will hold a participatory budgeting meeting for northeast Queens residents at 7 p.m. at Hillside Manor, located at 188-11 Hillside Ave.
Participatory budgeting allows residents to decide on how to spend $1 million allocated to the community.
The Venture House, located at 150-10 Hillside Ave. in Jamaica, is hosting a 25th anniversary celebration at 4:30 p.m.
The site helps find employment for those with serious mental illness. The event will include a garden party, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and live music.
