Thursday: Hunger Documentary, National Art League Classes

The Sacred Heart JOBO Center, located at 215-35 38th Ave., will host a screening of the documentary film "A Place at the Table" at 7:30 p.m.
The film, which is narrated by Jeff Bridges and directed by Lori Silverbush and Kristi Jacobson, focuses on child hunger.
The National Art League's classes for the day include exploring light, contrast and color in abstract and representational approaches and oil painting.
The gallery is located at 44-21 Douglaston Parkway.
