Thursday: Picture Book Time at the Library, National Art League Painting Classes

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will offer its Picture Book Time class today at 1:30 p.m.

The program, which is aimed at children between the ages of 3 1/2 to 5 years, includes songs, stories, rhymes and a simple craft. Only the first 12 children will be admitted.

The National Art League, located at 44-21 Douglaston Parkway, will offer several classes today, including watercolor painting at 9:30 a.m. and oil painting at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
