Tour de Flushing: 20-Mile Ride Tours Bayside, Eastern Queens

The inaugural ride begins in Flushing on July 22 at 9 a.m. Registration is free.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The inaugural Tour de Flushing rolls through Bayside and a number of other eastern Queens neighborhoods on July 22 as a celebration of the summer, according to an Eastern Queens Greenway announcement. Tour de Flushing is hosted by the Eastern Queens Greenway, a self-described coalition of neighbors working together for a family-safe path from Flushing Meadows to Alley Pond Park and the Joe Michaels Mile.

The 20-mile bike-riding event begins at 9 a.m. at the iconic Unisphere in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park and ends around 1 p.m. at the Flushing Quaker Meeting House, located at 137-16 Northern Blvd. in Flushing.

Registration is open and it is free. Eastern Queens Greenway has provided a map of the proposed route, noting that there will be uphill riding that might not be suitable for small children.

In case of rain, Tour de Flushing will be rescheduled to July 23 at 9 a.m.
