Tuesday: Tween/Teen Club at the Library, Homebuyers Seminar at Bay Terrace

The Samuel Field Y's Bay Terrace Center will host a first-time homebuyers seminar at 6 p.m. A panel of experts, including lawyers, accountants and mortgage specialists, will speak during the event.

Topics of discussion will include qualifying for and choosing the right mortgage, closing costs, understanding contracts and the role of a realtor.

The Bay Terrace Center is located at 212-00 23rd Ave. in Bayside.

The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., will offer its Tween/Teen Club today. Youths will be able to make new friends as well as take part in games and make crafts. The club is aimed at students in grades five through eight.

And the Douglaston Little Neck Library will hold its Dig Into Reading program today for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m.
