Whitestone Lanes owners want to build a 415-unit apartment building on the bowling alley lot, city records show.

QUEENS — Plans are underway to demolish a beloved Queens bowling alley, one of the last in the borough, to build apartments, according to city records and reports.

Macaluso did not respond to requests for comment from the Daily News, first to report the filings, but the application states, "The bowling alley has reached the end of its useful lifespan."
