Whitestone Public Library Reopens After Repair Work
The Whitestone Library reopened Thursday for to-go service, after air-conditioning repair work pushed back its original reopening date.

WHITESTONE, QUEENS — The Whitestone Library reopened Thursday for to-go service, after air-conditioning repair work pushed back its original reopening date by just over two weeks, according to Queens Public Library officials.
The library, located at the corner of 14th Road and Clintonville Street, is among 15 branches across the borough that have reopened since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Reopened branches will be cleaned five days a week, and materials returned through the libraries' exterior return machines will be "quarantined" for 96 hours before they become available again.
