Each week, Bayside Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. - Age: 19
- School: SUNY Cobleskill freshman Armand Tognan, formerly of Holy Cross High School
- Accomplishment: Tognan was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference league’s Male Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the first week in February.
- Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Fighting Tigers swim team captain in a non-scoring qualifying meet earlier this month against SUNY Delhi, won the 500 Yard Freestyle in a time of 7:13.71, and the 200 Yard Freestyle in 2:30.93. The league also credits him with anchoring the team's winning 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, with a time of 1:52.05.
