Crews will close ​the Exit 22 ramp from the eastbound Grand Central Parkway to Union Turnpike on Friday, May 5, through Monday morning.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — An exit ramp closure is coming up on Grand Central Parkway over the weekend due to pavement work, the Department of Transportation said.

Crews will close the Exit 22 ramp from the eastbound Grand Central Parkway to Union Turnpike on Friday, May 5, starting at about 10 p.m. through Monday, May 8, around 5 a.m.

The Department said the closure is due to a $13 million pavement preservation project taking place across the city.

To access Union Turnpike, drivers should take Exit 23 (Cross Is Pkwy/Winchester Blvd) and follow the signed detour.

Inclement weather could cause this closure to be rescheduled.
