3 Men Shot Dead Within Hours In East Brooklyn, Cops Say
The fatal Brooklyn shootings were among five in New York City overnight on Tuesday.

BROOKLYN, NY — The lives of three men were claimed within just a few hours in Eastern Brooklyn on Tuesday in a series of late-night shootings, according to police.
The three men, all in their 20s, were found fatally shot between 9:15 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. within miles of one another in Brownsville, Bed-Stuy and Cypress Hills, according to police.
Emergency responders were first called around 9:15 p.m. to the Brownsville Houses on Blake Avenue, where they found a 26-year-old man shot in the chest, police said. The man was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive his injuries, according to police.

Just a few hours later, police rushed to a building on Thomas Boyland Street near Herkimer Street and found a 29-year-old man shot in the leg, according to police. The man was also rushed to the hospital, but did not survive, police said.
The third shooting unfolded just after midnight on Lincoln Avenue in Cypress Hills. A 24-year-old man shot in the torso was rushed to the hospital around 12:30 a.m., according to police. He also did not survive.

There were no arrests in any of the homicides as of Wednesday morning.
The East Brooklyn killings were not the only deadly gun violence in the city overnight Tuesday.
In the Bronx, two men were found fatally shot in the torso, one around 11 p.m. and just after 1 a.m., according to police. The men, both in their 30s, were both rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
