6. The Brooklyn Partnership to Drive Down Diabetes (BP3D), a project of CAMBA and GBHC, and its partners are developing a Brooklyn Strategic Plan to Reduce Obesity and Diabetes. On February 2, in partnership with the American Diabetes Association, BP3D is hosting a working session to determine initiatives and action steps for each of 5 goals.  Public health professionals, health activists, and community members are invited to attend and help us formulate the strategic plan.  Attendees will consider and advise on what is already being done, what resources exist, and what the gaps are in order to determine where BP3D and its partners can add value and to prioritize actions.  In addition to the attached preliminary goals, participants will be given an Environmental Scan, along with demographical and health data, to inform their prioritizing.  If you or someone you know is interested in attending, please RSVP by January 27 to Stephen Beasley, BP3D Project Coordinator, at 718-282-2500 x63248 or stephenb@camba.org.
