Crime reportedly is up 47 percent in 79th Precinct for the remaining month of 2011, (145 incidents versus 99), compared to this same 28-day period in 2010.  For the year -- January 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011-- crime is down 7 percent: 7,780 arrests in 2011, versus 8,386 in 2010.
