Armed Bed-Stuy Phone Store Robber on the Loose, Cops Say
Fix N Colors at 1251 Fulton St. was robbed on Wednesday morning, police say.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man (pictured above) in connection to a Wednesday robbery on Fulton Avenue.
At about 11 a.m. on March 23, a suspect robbed Fix N Colors, a phone repair store located at 1251 Fulton St. in Bed-Stuy, police said.

The suspect displayed a black gun inside the store and demanded money, according to detectives. The store’s clerk handed over an unknown sum and the suspect left with it, according to police.
The suspect is between 20 and 30 years old, is six feet tall, weighs 175 pounds, and has black eyes and black hair, according to detectives.

He was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a blue hoodie, white sneakers and a black book bag, police said.

This crime took place in the NYPD's 79th police precinct, which covers Bed-Stuy. According to official police statistics, through March 13, overall crime was down 4.7 percent in the 79th, compared to the same period last year.
Those statistics include a 10 percent drop in burglaries and a 12.5 percent decrease in robberies. However, the precinct has seen an increase in car thefts (20 so far this year compared to nine last year), felony assaults (49 compared to 47) and sexual assaults (seven compared to four).
