ATM Thieves Rake In $60K In Dozens Of Break-Ins Across BK, Queens: PD
A group of five men have broken into at least 40 businesses since they started stealing ATM machines in December, police said

BROOKLYN, NY — A group of ATM thieves have been wreaking havoc on Brooklyn and Queens businesses for more than six months, according to police.
The group of five men have raked in more than $60,000 in cash since they started stealing ATM machines from grocery stores, diners, nail salons, barbershops and other businesses back in early December across the two boroughs, according to police.
The thieves have broken into a total of 40 businesses between December and early June, including around a dozen in Central Brooklyn, police said. They are also wanted for stealing at least two cars during that time, according to police.

The thieves were caught on video stealing one of the ATMs at a Fulton Street deli, police said:

Only in four of the 40 break-ins did the thieves walk away empty-handed, according to police.
In the others, they broke the front door or lock of each business and walked away with an ATM machine, police said.
Here's a look at the businesses where ATMs were stolen:
- December 2: a Pay-O-Matic check cashing located at 126 Graham Ave.
- December 2: a department store located at 69-12 Grand Ave.
- December 10: a commercial establishment located at 205-06 Hillside Avenue.
- December 16: a small merchant located at 221 Ralph Ave.
- December 24: a Pay-O-Matic located at 706 Ralph Ave.
- December 28: a Pay-O-Matic located at 147-39 Union Tpke.
- December 29: a commercial establishment located at 85-54 118th St.
- January 26: a CBD and Smoke shop located at 3102 Avenue U.
- January 28: a Pay-O-Matic located at 1588 Fulton St.
- January 29: a David check cashing located at 752 New Lots Ave.
- February 2: a Lavanderia Express located at 3480 Nostrand Ave. (Attempted Burglary)
- February 6: Lucy’s Lu’s Beauty and Nail Salon located at 5821 Avenue T.
- February 18: a Western Union Pay-o-Matic located at 1569 Pitkin Ave.
- February 22: Bella Frutta grocery store located at 164-44 Cross Bay Blvd.
- February 23: Five Stars For Your Nail located at 161-06 Cross Bay Blvd.
- February 25: a Dunkin Donuts located at 3701 Nostrand Ave. (Attempted Burglary)
- February 26: A & J Barbershop located at 3403 Avenue S.
- March 5: a check cashing located 286 Brighton Beach Ave.
- March 10: Idrees Mini Mart located at 104 West End Ave.
- March 13: a check cashing located at 1532 Utica Ave.
- March 13: a grocery store located at 1730 Coney Island Ave.
- March 18: a check cashing located at 2471 84 St.
- March 25: Healthy Choice Organic Market located at 299 Halsey St.
- March 30: CFSC check cashing located at 1014 Cortelyou Rd.
- March 30: Pay-O-Matic located at 2201 Bedford Ave.
- March 31: Billy’s Market located at 870 Cypress Ave.
- March 31:d Clean City Laundrymat located at 883 Wyckoff Ave.
- April 1: a 55-year-old male victim had reported that his daughter had parked his vehicle, a 2002 Dodge in front of 1531 Union St. and upon returning an unidentified male individual took the vehicle. The value of the vehicle is approximately $4,000.
- April 3: a Dunkin Donuts located at 2801 Knapp St.
- April 4: King’s Barber Shop located at 123 Bay 53 St.
- April 11: a 46-year-old male victim had parked his vehicle, a 2003 Ford van, in front of 210 Caton Avenue and upon returning he noticed his vehicle missing.
- April 12: a Smoke shop located at 65 Graham Ave.
- April 17: a Dry Cleaner/Laundry located at 446 New Lots Ave. (Attempted Burglary
- April 21: Vapita grocery store located at 94-02 80 St.
- May 12: Benny’s Barber Shop located at 143 5 Ave.
- May 12: Wholesome Farms Market located at 840 Fulton St.
- May 12: Country House Diner located at 887 Fulton St.
- May 21: El Manto Restaurant located at 100-15 Astoria Blvd.
- May 23: Elite Deli located at 161-01 Northern Blvd.
- May 23: Kissena Parl Deli located at 163-10 Pidgeon Meadow Rd.
- May 24: New Jersey Deli located at 2672 Fulton St.
- June 2: Elton Deli located at 864 Elton St.
