Bed-Stuy Housing Lottery Offers $375-A-Month Apartments

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Nearly 200 Atlantic Avenue apartments are up for grabs through the city's affordable housing lottery and you won't need a six-figure income to apply.

Some apartments are as cheap as $375 a month.

The 199 units at 1911 Atlantic Ave. will be available through NYC Housing Connect are available until Jan. 4 to applicants earning between $16,000 and $132,000 a year, according to the listing.

Apartments feature vinyl floors, caesar stone quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and central heating and cooling, the listing shows.

A catch for those with four-legged life friends: no pets allowed. But building amenities that might make up for it include a gym, laundry room and rooftop terrace.

New Yorkers looking to pay less than a $1,000 monthly rent have a variety of options to choose from at the Atlantic Avenue building.

Six studio apartments going for just $375-a-month are up for grabs to New Yorkers earning between $16,218 and $32,040 annually.

Nine studios that cost $843 are available to households earning between $32,263 and $53,40 annually.

Seven $478-per-month one-bedrooms are available to those earning between $20,160 and $36,030 annually.

Six two-bedrooms going for $570 monthly rent are available to households bringing in between $24,309 and $43,230 a year.

Five three-bedrooms listed at $652 monthly rent are up for grabs to those earning between $28,149 and $49,650 a year.

The priciest units available are a batch of three-bedroom apartments that cost $2,501 a month.
