Bed-Stuy Pedestrian Killed By Teen Driving BMW: NYPD

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man walking across a Bed-Stuy street died after a 19-year-old plowed into him with a BMW, police said.

Glen Fields, 61, was fatally struck late Monday along Bedford Avenue near Fulton Street, authorities said.

He tried to cross Bedford about 11:55 p.m. when a man, 19, in a 2007 BMW drove into him, police said. The driver stayed behind as NYPD officers and medics responded and found Fields unresponsive in the street.

Doctors at Kings County Hospital later pronounced Fields dead, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
