Bed-Stuy's Billie Holiday Theatre Announces 2017-18 Season

Shows include "The Old Settler," "A Small Oak Tree Runs Red" and "Yellowman."

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN – The Billie Holiday Theatre has announced a range of works dealing with the African-American experience for its upcoming season.

Shows include "The Old Settler," by John Henry Redwood (Oct. 20-Nov. 19); "A Small Oak Tree Runs Red," by LeKethia Dalcoe of Brooklyn (Jan. 26-Feb. 25); and "Yellowman," by Dael Orlandersmith (April 20 - May 20).

Earlier this year, the Billie Holiday Theatre reopened at its 1368 Fulton St. home after a major renovation, according to Broadway World. The Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation founded the institution in 1972.
