- Georges-Andre Vintage Cafe opens it's doors and is hosting a grand opening celebration Aug. 3 at 3 p.m. The cafe is a 'fresh new way to get your coffee' and a way to get to know your neighbors as well.

- The Turner Syndrome Foundation will be holding its first New York patient workshop this summer at Montefiore Medical Center starting Aug. 2.

- It's a swap meet Sunday morning at Green Acres Community Garden. Bring any (clean) items you no longer need -- especially clothing -- and take whatever you like. Donations for the garden are welcome as well.
- Multiple houses on Monroe Street between Lewis & Marcus Garvey are having a collaborative stoop sale offering clothing, toys, handmade and general items for sale. Food and drinks are also being sold.
- Bring the kids to Focus Lounge at 337 Nostrand Avenue Aug. 2 starting at 12:30 for two movies. The first showing will be UP, and the second beginning at 3 p.m. is Night at the Museum.
