Here's How Rent In Bed-Stuy Compares To Rest Of NYC

BED-STUY, NY — Bed-Stuy sat around the middle of the New York City rental market, which led the country in pricey apartments, according to a new study from Zumper.

The real estate publication looked at rental prices in 81 neighborhoods across New York City between April and June of this year — and it found Bed-Stuy sat around the middle of the pack.

The median price for a one-bedroom in Bed-Stuy was $2,747 a month, well below the median price across all five boroughs. The most expensive neighborhood in the city, NoMad, sat at a whopping $6,033 a month.

Brooklyn's most expensive neighborhood was DUMBO, with the median one-bedroom price coming in at nearly $5,000 a month.

Brooklyn was generally less expensive than its Manhattan neighbor, save areas like Greenpoint and Fort Greene, which sold one-bedrooms for $4,507 and $4,350, respectively.

Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst were Brooklyn's most affordable —Bensonhurst was the most affordable of 81 neighborhoods in the city with a median one-bedroom price of $1,600.

Overall, New York City had the priciest median one-bedroom home in the country in July at $3,980, jumping up to $4,470 for a two-bedroom.
