BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man in Bed-Stuy has been arrested after the death of a 4-month-old baby who was in his care, according to police.

Four-month-old Royalty Kemp died on July 1, a week after she had showed up at a Brooklyn hospital with trauma to her head, police said.

Investigators discovered that the baby girl had sustained the head trauma while in the care of 23-year-old Ricardo Price in the apartment where they both lived at the Eleanor Roosevelt Houses, according to police. He was taken into custody the day after she was brought to the hospital.

Police did not specify how Price injured the baby girl.

Price was charged with attempted murder, three counts of assault, reckless assault on a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said.
