Man Beats Driver, Steals Cab In Bed-Stuy Fare Fight: Police
Police are searching for the man who assaulted a cab driver and drove away early Saturday morning.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who they say beat a cabbie and then took off in his taxi in Bedford-Stuyvesant over the weekend. The man first attacked the driver in an argument over the cab fare near 950 Broadway around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the NYPD said.
The man got out of the car without paying and then walked up to the cab while it was stopped at a red light, police said.
He opened the door, punched the 52-year-old cabbie several times, knocked him out of the the yellow 2018 Toyota and then drove off, cops said. The car was found abandoned a few blocks away, according to police.

The driver was taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The robber is described as a black man from 25 to 35 years old with a beard and tattoos on both hands, police said. He was last seen wearing a V-neck T-shirt and pants, police said.
