MTA Alert: Major Weekend Service Changes for the A and C Trains

The MTA has issued the following advisory, changes in weekend service for the A, C, G and J Lines that run through Bedford-Stuyvesant:

A Train

Begining Saturday, January 28, at 12:01 a.m. until Monday, January 30, 5:00 a.m., A trains run local in both directions between 145 St and 168 St

NIGHTS
From 12:01 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sat and Sun, Jan 28 – 29, and from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., Mon, Jan 30, Uptown A trains skip Spring, 23 and 50 Sts

Also, on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., there will be no A trains running between Euclid Av and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach
Free shuttle buses provide alternate service

A trains operate as follows:
1. Between 207 St and Euclid Av.
2.Between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway.
Travel alternatives:
Transfer to free shuttle buses operating on two routes:
Between Euclid Av and Lefferts Blvd.
Between Euclid Av and Howard Beach with a stop at North Conduit Av.

NOTE: Buses to Howard Beach will not stop at North Conduit Av-Aqueduct.
Customers must ride to Howard Beach and transfer to a Euclid Av-bound
shuttle bus to North Conduit Av-Aqueduct.

C Train

On Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., there will be no C trains between 145 St and 168 St – Take the A instead
• A trains run local in both directions between 145 St and 168 St.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., C trains skip Spring, 23 St and 50 St in both directions – Take the E instead
Note: Queens-bound E trains skip Spring and 23 Sts

G Train

• All times until Spring 2012, G trains skip Smith-9 Sts in both directions. Use bus service to/from 4 Av-9 St or Carroll St instead.
• All times until Spring 2012, Church Av-bound G trains skip 15 St-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Pkwy

J Train

Beginning Saturday, January 28, at 4:00 a.m. until Sunday, January 29, 10:00 p.m., Queens-bound J trains skip Kosciuszko St, Gates Av, Halsey St and Chauncey St
