National Night Out, Oral Histories and More This Week in Bed-Stuy

1. Join your neighbors in building a safer, stronger community by attending the 81st Precinct Community Council’s annual National Night Out. This family friendly event will have games and activities for all ages. The event takes place at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Reinaldo Salgado Playground on Monroe Street between Ralph and Patchen Avenues.
2. On Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., bring your little one to 211a Schenectady Avenue between Park Place an Sterling place Crown Heights for Babies and Books.
3. The Macon MacDonough Stuyvesant Lewis Block Association is celebrating a new round of Oral Histories beginning Aug. 7 at the Akwaaba Mansion at 6:30 p.m. The Oral Histories can be found at mystuy.org, with 15 to date and five more in the works.
4. The Azerbaijan A/V Club creates a unique fusion of free jazz, progressive electronics and live visual art and performs in the outdoor sculpture garden Wednesday at Goodbye Blue Monday.
