BROOKLYN, NY — A person was hit and killed by a J train in Brooklyn on Monday morning, according to transit officials.

The person was hit at Marcy Avenue station in Williamsburg just after 9 a.m., according to MTA alerts and the FDNY.

They were pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.

The incident stopped J and M service between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The last stop on 121 Street-bound J trains will be Delancey Street-Essex Street and the last stop on Manhattan-bound J/M trains is Myrtle Avenue, officials said. Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue-bound M trains will stop at 2 Avenue on the F line, where they will be turned for Forest Hills-71 Avenue-bound service.
