An early morning shooting in the hallway of the Louise Armstrong Houses has left three people injured.

The shooting, which took place at 370 Lexington Avenue at approximately 4:30 am, may have been a dispute over a drug sale, said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly at an officers' swearing-in ceremony later in the day Wednesday.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed three injuries. A 15-year-old girl was shot in the back and taken to Brookdale Hospital; a 17-year-old boy was shot in the right thigh and left arm and transported to Kings County Hospital; and a 21-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and also taken to Kings County Hospital.
