Crime is up 37 percent in the 79th Precinct (37 incidents versus 27 incidents), for the week of February 20 - February 26, compared to this same week in 2011. For the month, crime is up 67 percent (139 incidents versus 83 incidents), compared to this same 28-day period in 2011. Year to date, crime is up 38 percent (268 incidents versus 194 incidents), compared to this same time last year.

INSIDE OF 414 FLUSHING AVENUE

2012-03-02 11:00 FRIDAY

Perpetrator presented teller with a firearm and demanded money. Perp fled with money and an exploding dye pack. Perp is still unapprehended, a wanted poster is pending.

INSIDE OF 299 PUTNAM AVENUE

2012-03-02 15:00 FRIDAY

Perpetrator tried to enter victim's apartment thru a fire escape, victim called 911 and Officers made arrest.

 

INSIDE OF 303 PUTNAM AVENUE

2012-03-01 15:30 THURSDAY

Victim came home to find that her kitchen window was apparently breached, property was removed. 

 

Assaults: 

FRONT OF 522 QUINCY STREET

2012-03-04 06:00 SUNDAY

Female perpetrator, known to victim, called her up and agreed to meet perpetrator. Perp then slashed victim with a pin.    

 

FRONT OF 1073 ATLANTIC AVENUE

2012-03-05 03:25 MONDAY

Two patrons inside of Langston's nightclub got into a verbal argument. One of the two then slashed and stabbed the victim with a boxcutter.
