Crime activity in the last week in the 79th Pct has remained the same, (33 incidents vs 33 incidents), compared to this same time period last year. For the month, crime is down (126 incidents vs 157 incidens), compared to this same 28-day period last year.

On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 7:45 pm, a male, 21 years old was shot multiple times and killed in front of 456 Dekalb Ave - which is the Lafayette Gardens Housing Development). The motive for this investigation is still being investigated and no arrests have been made.
Two Robberies

On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 2:10 am, a cab driver was robbed at gunpoint at the corner of Lexington and Marcy Avenues. The male victim states that he picked up by a black male at Church St and Rodgers Ave. When they arrived at Lexington and Marcy, the male displayed a gun and stole $68.00
On Wednesday, April 27, at approximately 9:35 pm, a male, 23 years old was forcibly robbed of his iPhone while walking on Willoughby Avenue near Taaffe Place. The male victim states approximately 5 male blacks jumped him from behind and stole his property.
Car Break-In
On Monday, April 25, sometime between 2:30 am and 2:00 pm, a car window of a Chevrolet was shattered, opposite 1167 Bedford Avenue. Personal items including a wallet were removed from the vehicle.
