Police Blotter: Two robberies, one shooting
A weekly roundup of crime activity in the 79th precinct.

Crime for the week is up nine percent in the 79th precinct for the week of June 20 - June 26, with 47 incidents vs 43 incidents this same week last year.
Robberies:
On Friday, June 24, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a 24-year-old male was leaving the train station on Myrtle Avenue and walking down Marcus Garvey when an unknown black man described as 18-22 years old, stole the cell phone from the victim's belt.
On Friday, June 25, at approximately 10:30am, a 43-year-old man was walking on Marcy Avenue near King Street when an unknown male struck him in the head and attempted to remove his wallet. The attacker fled without the wallet.
Shooting:
On Friday, June 24, at approximately 12:45pm, a 19-year-old man was shot inside of a park located opposite 209 Halsey Street off of Tompkins avenue. The male was shot in the back and then taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Grand Larceny:
On Thursday, June 23, a 53-year-old woman was purchasing a soda at a bodega located at 624 Myrtle Avenue. When the woman placed her pocketbook on the counter and turned around to get it, an unidentified person took her purse.
