
A few incidents over the weekend in the 79th and 81st Precincts:
- On Thursday, May 5, at approximately 6:37 pm, police within the confines of the 79th precinct were called to 896 Park Ave in regards to a male shot in the back. The victim was listed as not likely to die. However, by 6:45 the victim’s condition had worsened so quickly and so much so, his state was downgraded to “likely to expire.” At 7:01 pm, the victim went into traumatic arrest (died).
- On Friday, May 6, at approximately 1:02 pm police within the confines of the 81st precinct were called to Broadway and Wythe Avenues following a bank robbery. The perpetrators fled the scene in a two-door silver vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.
- On Saturday, May 7, at approximately 1:00 pm, police within the confines of the 81st Precinct were called to Decatur Street and Albany Avenue in response to a reports of a males shot. ESU were requested for an evidence search
- On Sunday, May 8, at approximately 2:56 am, police in the confines of the 79th precinct were called to Myrtle Ave and Tompkins Avenue for an evidence search. No further details were provided.
