Police Seeking Suspect in 2 Bank Robberies
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers
The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the following individual wanted in connection with an armed bank robbery in the confines of the 71 Precinct. The details are as follows:
On Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 12:14 pm, an unknown man entered the Apple Bank located at 318 Albany Avenue. He approached a teller and passed a note demanding money while he displayed a silver handgun.
The suspect received an undetermined amount of cash then fled the bank on foot southbound on Albany Avenue toward Union Street.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 40s to early 50s, approximately 6 feet tall, 180 lbs., medium build, with a salt-and-pepper beard and mustache. He was wearing a tan, three-quarter length jacket, a brown knit hat, black gloves, khaki-colored pants and tan boots.
The above suspect is also a suspect in a second bank robbery which occurred on Monday, February 07, 2011 at approximately 12:16 pm at the Apple Bank located at 414 Flushing Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The suspect entered the bank, approached two tellers, displayed a silver handgun to both tellers and demanded money. The tellers complied, and the suspect fleed the bank with the money west bound on Flushing Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male, late 40s to early 50s, 5'11" to 6'0" in height, medium build, salt and pepper beard and mustache, wearing a brown Fedora hat, black scarf, tan jacket, black pants and sunglasses.
