SEE: New Affordable Senior Housing Opens On Bed-Stuy Border
The 64 rental units are found on Debevoise Street and available for those making less than $54,000 for a family of three.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A new affordable housing development for seniors has officially opened its doors on the Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg border.
The Debevoise Senior Housing building — found between Humboldt Street and Graham Avenue — opened this week after launching applications for its rental units earlier this year.
The 64 studio and one-bedroom units require at least one person in the household is 62 years and older and will go to those who make less than $53,700 per year for a family of three. It is led by developer Arker Companies, the city's Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the Jewish Association Serving the Aging.

“40 Debevoise Street provides 64 senior households, including more than 20 formerly homeless seniors, a safe, affordable home to call their own," HPD Commissioner Louise Carroll said about the building.
The 55,158-square-foot complex rises eight stories and includes a super's unit, an indoor and outdoor recreation area, a laundry room, bike storage and a 500-square-foot community facility space, according to the release. Another 6,603 square feet is set aside for retail on the ground floor.
