More Information on Sunday Morning Homicide on Fulton St.

A man shot in the neck and killed on Sunday, has been identified as Andrew Brown, 45, of Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

According to police, on Sunday, January 1, at approximately 9:00am, police responded to a report of a male shot at 1711 Fulton Street, within the confines of the 81 precinct. Upon arrival, police observed an unconscious and unresponsive black male found a black male laying face down, shot and bleeding in the 6th floor hallway.

Emergency personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene at approximately 9:15am. Upon further investigation, police discovered the victim visited and spent the night at a female friend’s apartment located inside 94 Chauncey Street which connects through common hallways with 1711 Fulton Street.

According to police officials, they are unsure if the victim's visit had anything to do with his death. There are no arrest(s) at this time, the victim's family has been notified, and the investigation is ongoing.
