The Verdict is in: Classon is the Border!

Residents weigh in on Bed-Stuy's "fuzzy" border

It looks like Classon Avenue is the border between Bedford-Stuyvesant and Clinton Hill.

Well, actually, at Bed-Stuy Patch, we already knew that. But it turns out that residents, both new and old, seem to understand it as well.

According to our poll in the story “,” of 355 respondents, a whopping 244 (68 percent) identified the border as Classon Ave. In second place with 59 votes (16 percent), Bedford Ave. was named as Bed-Stuy’s border; another 35 voters (nine percent) believed Bed-Stuy’s border was at Franklin Ave.; and finally, a meager 17 (four percent), identified Bed-Stuy’s border as beginning at Nostrand Ave.

So to all of the dozens of new businesses that recently have opened up along the eastern side of Classon Ave., and to all of talented Pratt students residing on Taaffe Place, and to all of the new condo owners along Myrtle and Kent, you live in The Stuy, baby! (wink)
