Two Dozen Affordable Apartments Up For Grabs On Bed-Stuy Border
The apartments, in a new building on Willoughby Avenue, will go to those making as little as $36,000 a year, records show.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Nearly 30 apartments have hit the city's affordable housing lottery on the Bed-Stuy border, records show.
The 28 apartments, found on Willoughby Avenue near Broadway, will go to those making 80 or 130 percent of the area median income, meaning applicants should have a minimum salary between $35,760 and $61,715 per year, records show.
The building comes with an elevator, outdoor terrace, shared laundry room, parking options and bike storage lockers, according to the listing.

At the 80-percent income level, there are nine one-bedroom spots and 10 two-bedroom apartments available.
The one-bedroom apartments will cost $949 per month and require a minimum $35,760 salary. The two-bedroom spots will cost $1,155 per month and require a $43,475 minimum salary to apply.

At the 130-percent income level, there are nine one-bedroom spots available. Applicants for these units should make at least $61,715 per year and will pay $1,800 in rent per month.
Applicants interested in the Willoughby Avenue building should apply before April 17.
The Bed-Stuy building is one of several in Brooklyn currently on the affordable housing lottery.
Other buildings include a massive development in Greenpoint, a Kent Avenue complex in Williamsburg, the Vital Brookdale complex in Brownsville and an East New York property known as Chestnut Commons.
