Bedford Hills FD Welcomes New Officers

After 20 years as a volunteer firefighter, Dominick Bueti is feeling good in his new role as chief.

"It brings new headaches, sure, but I'll be among good friends," he said. "It's something I've been looking forward to."

Bueti said he isn't planning on implementing major changes as the new leader of the department, which has existed for more than 100 years and boasts over 100 members.

But leading the fire corps in its tentatively slated to open in April of this year, will bring new tools and resources to his disposal, among them fitness machines and an emergency command center.

Bueti takes over from Brain McGill who held the post for the last three years.

Outgoing officers include former fire captain Marc Graniero, ex-Lieutenant Santo Curro, ex-Lieutenant Scott Marinaro, William Nickson, a former member of the board and Jonathan Spano, the previous advisor to the junior fire corps.
