Bedford Hills Man Charged With Felony DWI
The information below was provided by the Bedford police and does not indicate a conviction.

Lester Duarte Chacon, 25, was arrested on Nov. 19 after he drove his car through the T-intersection and into an embankment at McClain Street and Barker Avenue in Bedford Hills.
Officers responded after a passenger of Chacon's car reported the accident at 3:27 a.m. last Saturday. When they arrived, police found one passenger with knee injuries and another with a head injury from hitting the vehicle's windshield, and arranged for their transport to Northern Westchester Hospital.
Chacon was asked to participate in field sobriety tests, which he allegedly failed, but would not take an alco-sensor test. Officers said he had a lack of coordination and bloodshot eyes. He was processed at police headquarters and and arraigned by Judge Quuaranta the following morning.

Because of his two prior DWI convictions, Chacon's alleged DWI was elevated to the felony level. He also faces charges of improper lane use and refusing an alcohol pre-screen test.
Chacon was released on $2,000 bail and is scheduled to return to Bedford town court on Thursday.
