Bedford Hills Woman Accuses Fiancé of Assault

A Bedford Hills woman was arrested after allegedly punching her fiancé in the face and pulling her hair at a Rome Avenue residence.

Alanna Rose Dolan, 25, reportedly got into an argument with her fiancé on Aug. 4 just after 11 a.m. The fight escalated, according to the victim, a 26-year-old female resident of Bedford Hills.

The victim reportedly suffered injuries to her face and was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment.

Dolan was charged with third-degree assault and was released without bail pending a return to town court.

Florida woman charged with DWI in Bedford

Sarah Elizabeth Steinmetz, 35, of Miami, FL, was arrested on Aug. 2 after police officers allegedly observed her throw trash out the window of her car while she was driving southbound on Bedford Road at about 12:15 a.m.

Police followed her and observed her car swerve over the fog lines several times while driving up Hill Street to Springhurst Street. They indicated she should pull over and when they approached her car, she threw a lit cigarette out the window.

Steinmetz failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test. She admitted to having a glass of wine at Oliver's Restaurant in Katonah.

She was brought to police headquarters for processing and was charged with DWI, refusin an alcohol prescreen test, making an unsafe lane change and throwing refuse and littering.
