Bedford Police Respond to Larceny, Recover Stolen Vehicle
Authorities are investigating a series of incidents that all occurred in a certain area.

A report of a larceny in Bedford led to two discoveries for police: a recovered Nissan that was reported missing earlier this month, and a Lexus missing from a nearby driveway, officials say.
The initial complaint came in the morning of Feb. 16. A New York State driver's license, a Social Security card and multiple credit cards were missing from an unlocked vehicle, which had been parked in a private driveway on on Synders Hill Road overnight.
Another theft occurred that same night, Lt. Jeffrey Dickan of the Bedford Police Department said. This time, about $200 worth of groceries, and $8 in change, was taken from a car parked at a Chestnut Ridge Road home.

While investigating the incidents, police discovered a 2008 Lexus RX400, valued at about $29,000, was missing from another residence in the vicinity. The keys were in the car at the time, according to authorities.
Cops also came across a 2012 Nissan Rogue that had been reported stolen Feb. 6 out of Larchmont.

Officials are continuing their investigation. Dickan advised residents to keep car doors locked, even when the vehicle is parked in a driveway.
