Bedford Teen Faces Assault Charge

He is due in court Thursday.

An 18-year-old Bedford resident is accused of punching a 17-year-old Katonah resident in the face during an argument that took place in a local parking lot, police say.

The fight—which involves social media and is part of an ongoing dispute between the two boys—occurred at about 4 p.m. Saturday in Lot 1 on Jay Street in Katonah, according to officials. The younger teen, whose earring was reportedly ripped out during the confrontation, filed a complaint with the Bedford Police Department.

The victim was not hospitalized, Lt. Jeffrey Dickan told Patch.
