2. Bedford school board meets, will discuss tax cap and unfunded mandates
According to the school board agenda: The NYS Comptroller is requiring that school district's report information on the tax levy cap by March 1. Mark Betz, Assistant Superintendent, will seek guidance from the Board on the information to be filed with the state. The board will also discuss proposed mandate relief requests for the Board of Education to consider as resolutions to the Mandate Relief Council, a group recently formed by Gov. Cuomo. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Theatre.

3. Campbell Scott returns to Katonah
This Friday the actor/director/producer/writer, Campbell Scott, will be at the Katonah Village Library to host a screening of his 1997 film, The Spanish Prisoner. We loved him in that film and everything before and since. Hey, students in 9-12th grade: Enter the s Annual High School Writing contest. Open to students grades 9-12 living or attending school in the Bedford Central School District.
5. Relay for Life kickoff
Don't forget about the kickoff for the American Cancer Society fundraiser Relay for Life, to be held Thursday Feb. 16. The meeting will get you excited and involved in the event that is coming to Lewisboro on June 22, 2012 at John Jay High School.
