2. Clothing tax lifted

Starting this Sunday, clothing and shoes under $110 are exempt from the New York State 4 percent sales tax. The exemption also applies to athletic equipment and protective devices, such as motorcycle helmets. For more, click here.

4. Scrabble club at Bedford Free Library
Cornelia Guest is returning to the for another year of School Scrabble. This is for children in grades 4-8. School Scrabble is a little bit different than the traditional Scrabble game as it is played with a clock and in teams of 2. The club will meet weekly throughout the school year. Boards, tiles and instruction are provided free of charge.
