County, Town Taxes Due, Community Center Marks 20th Anniversary

1. County and town taxes due

The Bedford assessor's office announced its receipt of the warrent for county and town tax. That means that in order to avoid penalty, residents must pay the county and town tax by April 30. The Tax Receiver’s Office at will be open 8:30 to 4:30 each day, Monday thru Friday. Call 914-666-4475 for more information.

3.Town sets Arbor Day events

In the past, Bedford has held its ceremonial tree plantings on weekday mornings. This year, Arbor Day is on Sat. April 21 and will be celebrated in three separate locations: the Bedford Hills Community House, Dwight Lane in Bedford Hills, and the Katonah Memorial Park. on these plantings, and bring the kids to honor our trees.

4. Watch "Tin Tin" at KVL

Monday April 2nd is movie night at the Katonah Village Library. "The Adventures of Tintin" —the globe-trotting adventures of a boy and his dog—begins at 5:30 p.m. Monday. This movie is based on three books by Herge.' This film runs for 107 minutes and is rated PG. Adults must accompany children for the duration of the film. Popcorn provided by the library.

5. Community Center 20th anniversary approaching

The started 20 years ago with the mission of helping a neighbor who had lost his job—and the organization continues today with an unchanged goal of helping those within the Northern Westchester community who are in need of food, clothing and services.
