Police: Speeding Driver Found with Stash of Prescription Pills

State police troopers charged a Connecticut man with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after a stopping for him for speeding on I-684 on Sunday.

Police said Ross Coughlin, 26, of Plainville, CT, was caught driving 85 miles per hour on I-684 in Bedford. During the police investigation a K9 dog discovered a marijuana pipe and a stash of prescription drugs including 198 Oxycodone pills, three Xanax pills four Endocet pills and and two Suboxone pills.

Coughlin also faces three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana charges.

Coughlin was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail.
