Friedlander Memorial Service Set for Nov. 13

The service was rescheduled after the John Jay High School campus lost power after the snowstorm.

The memorial service for the Friedlander family is rescheduled for this Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at the John Jay Middle School auditorium, according to a notice posted on the Jewish Family Congregation's website.

Funeral services were held in Trevose, PA, two weeks ago for Amy Friedlander, 46, and her children, Molly, 10, and Gregory, 8. The body of Samuel Friedlander, 50, who killed his wife and children before killing himself on Oct. 18, was taken to a funeral home in New York City for a private funeral and burial, according to news reports.

The local memorial service was originally scheduled for Oct. 30 at John Jay High School but had to be rescheduled when the school lost power after a snowstorm the night before.
